NetSuite Analytics Warehouse Parameter and Filter States
If you have one user who is seeing incorrect data or no data at all in a workbook, while other users have no issue, the cause is often saved parameter or filter states . In NSAW’s Present mode, each user’s last filter and parameter selections are remembered. If those saved values no longer match the current data, the affected user may see a blank or misleading view.
Common scenarios include:
- A date filter set to a relative range that now returns no results.
- A filter set to a specific attribute that no longer exists in the dataset.
Because each user’s state is unique, the issue can occur for one person while others see correct results.
The Quick Fix
To restore the original defaults without changing persistence settings, instruct the user to:
- Click the State menu icon .
- Select Apply State .
- Choose Original State .
Turning It Off Completely
If saved values are causing repeated confusion, disable persistence for the workbook:
- Open the workbook in Edit mode.
- Switch to the Present tab.
- From the left menu, select Personalization .
- Uncheck Persist user filters and/or Persist user parameters .
With persistence disabled, every user will see the author’s default settings instead of their own saved values.
